I would like to nominate Kevin Thull for this year's Aaron Winborn Award
I would like to nominate Kevin Thull (kthull on Drupal.org) for this year's Aaron Winborn Award.
If you have been to a Drupal camp in the last few years, you may have seen Kevin sprinting...
...Sprinting from session room to session room making sure the speaker hit the big red record button.
Kevin contributes to the Drupal community in a way that is different and unique, he helps record the sessions on video and posts them for free online. If you haven't been to one of these camps, I hope you have taken the opportunity to watch some of the over 500 session recordings that he has posted online for all of us to learn from and advance our careers.
You can find a majority of the videos linked here:

You can find a listing of the camps he has recorded here:

I first met Kevin in 2013 at the first Drupal Camp Fox Valley. A mutual friend asked if they could borrow a video camera as a backup to their session recording setup. Turns out, they didn't need it as Kevin had already started dialing in his system.
He has a great series of blog posts at his personal site documenting his recording kit at http://www.bluedropshop.com/

A few years later, as I started to volunteer to help the organizers of the Chicago based MidCamp, I was happy, but not surprised, that Kevin, who had moved into the city was one of the primary organizers. His skills do not end at recording, editing, and upload, but also lie in planning, logistics, printing lanyards, programs, banners, and t-shirts. MidCamp would not be as successful if he were not a part of the great organizing teams of the last 5 years.
This year has not slowed his efforts as he plans to record DrupalCampNJ, Florida Drupal Camp, and Texas Camp, while sending kits and usage documentation to Pacific Northwest Drupal Summit so he can be at multiple camps at the same time!
Thumbs up so far with #TexasCamp2017 venue. HDMI projectors AND I'm setting up a day early. #wwcd pic.twitter.com/gLvuIw0bIF

Contribution is defined as "the part played by a person or thing in bringing about a result or helping something to advance". Contribution to the Drupal community takes many different forms, from contributing code to mentoring sprints, writing documentation, and organizing cons, camps, and meetups.
Kevin Thull's contributions are unique, incredibly helpful to the Drupal community, and affect local, national, and international. We are lucky to have him and thank the Drupal Community Working Group for his consideration.
